The slim and sleek SD210 is aimed at the home-cinema enthusiast. The striking silver case carries the minimum of controls. The on-screen setup is mercifully logical and easy to use. Along with an almost universal set of connections offered for image output on the back of the unit--S-VHS, Composite and a Scart socket--you also get a set of ... Read the complete review

After a long fight with my partner of what I wanted for Christmas, I eventually plucked up the courage to ask for a DVD player. This did not go down very well to begin with as he feels he is some sort of technical buff when it comes to gadgets. I think not! He is actually one of those kinds of people who has every gadget going but does ... Read the complete review

I decided, for Xmas, I would like a DVD player as top pressie. Everyone at work appeared to have one and I was not going to watch everything on my PC (although I HAVE watched a few films and my 17" Samtronic does them proud (as well as the surround sound speaker setup). My wife decided she would cough up the dough at Xmas. However, ... Read the complete review

I spent a lot of time looking for a dvd player, and the reason i decided on this one was because it was recommended to me.I'm so pleased with it now though, that i will never go back to videos. I write for a DVD Magazine. I have owned 3 other top-end DVD players before this and I would recommend Sony players for picture quality and Philips for sound. This DVD player is an excellent quality product for the price. It is not that well made. It has a picture quality which will not WOW you like that of a Sony or Panasonic ... Read the complete review

The Toshiba 2109 is a great DVD player. I bought it when it first came out, approximately 2 and a half years ago, and its still working perfectly. It outputs a great, crisp picture and good sound. There is also the option to create Surround Sound on just two speakers with a simple press of a button on the control. And to the ... Read the complete review

I bought this machine over a year ago and have never looked back. It was at the time the DVD player that you could buy for under £400 and it is still a lot better than some of the new players being released. Where as other budget players were hampered by certain discs not working properly the Toshiba had no problems at all. In fact I ... Read the complete review

I bought this DVD player last Xmas in the sales and over the past year have amassed a total of 30 dvd films. I have been very pleased with the quality of this system. The quality is as good as any DVD player that I have seen. The menu for setting up your tv and player was pretty easy and the manual was very useful. The remote control is ... I bought my Tosh2109 in January 1999 and I can honestly say that I'm really pleased with it's performance. Sound reproduction is amazing and the image quality is of equally high standard. The majority of DVD discs these days are Dual-Layer, meaning that the player has to flip from Layer1 to Layer2 halfway through the movie - this is done ... Read the complete review

What can i say until you have seen THe Matrix on DVD you have not lived. The Toshiba SD-2109B may not look the part, but it plays it. If you’re the sort of person who judges a book by its cover then you’re in for one hell of a shock when you get to see the SD-2109B in action. It features great picture and sound quality – putting even the top Sony players three times the cost to shame. If ... Read the complete review
