When I discovered that such a cheap dvd player was by such a good brand as Toshiba I could barely believe it. I would have been happy to pay in excess of forty pounds for this player, simply because it works so well.

Disks never jump when in use and it is very easy to use. The controls and the remote control are easy to grasp and won't leave you frustrated. It's ready to go straight out of the box and there are no surprises. Not only that but it looks very sleek and modern, which is really great considering the price. It's not quite sturdy enough to put a tv on top of, but if you have the room to have it seperately I would recommend it. It does feel very light, which I suppose could be considered as a positive or a negative. It's good for moving around and means people without a strong assistant can just get started. On the other hand it makes the product feel quite flimsy.

If you are a student on a budget, or simply not after anything more than a basic dvd player, then this is the one. I wouldn't be able to comment on the MP3 or JPEG facilities as I have not personally tried them, although if they function as well as the rest of this item, then you won't be disappointed.

Summary: excellent item, looks great and works well.
