The first thing that drew my to this DVD player was the price. At only £30 it seemed on the face of it to be of good value. And I wasn't to be disappointed. The SD3010 is an upscaling DVD player that allows you to watch standard definition DVDs in near high definition. The HDMI cable allows easy connection to a HD TV. As well as DVDs you can also play MP3 and JPEG files as well as CDs.
This DVD player feels like it is very well made and looks nice and sleek. Fits in nicely underneath a TV or on a shelf. There are a few simple buttons on the front so you can still control it even if you lose the remote control. Due to the upscaling the picture quality is very good. One problem I have found is that it does seem to struggle when the DVD is dirty or scratched. However that is probably up to me to look after my DVDs better! It is also useful to be able to play music CDs and any MP3 files you have on disc. I also like being able to view JPEG picture files through the DVD player on my TV.
The remote control is a bit on the small side. The buttons are small and very tightly packed in which makes it feel a bit awkward to control. This is not too big an issue as I find I only use it briefly to get the DVD started and then I don't need to use it much more.
For the price this is an excellent DVD player with some good extra features. The quality is great thanks to the upscaling. For a standard DVD player you will do well to beat it at this price.
Summary: Excellent quality and good value for money
