... sound is good weather it be from the stereo output or the digital bitstreem (optical or coaxial). And the best bit about this player is that it just keeps getting cheaper and cheaper. The 2109 started off at £400 but fell to about £200 at the end of it's life but now you can grab the SD100 for about £190 highstreet of £180 online. This player is a great buy if you are after a standard player with no frills. It sticks to the basics, Sound and Picture and Toshiba do this well. A great bargain but I still prefer the 2109. ...

Lucky Toshiba SD 210E
... bought this machine over a year ago and have never looked back. It was at the time the DVD player that you could buy for under £400 and it is still a lot better than some of the new players being released. Where as other budget players were hampered by certain discs not working properly the Toshiba had no problems at all. In fact I have not found a region 2 disc that doesn't work properly on it yet. The image quality is excellent thanks, in part, to a very good quality scart cable that is supplied with it (sometimes factors like this can make a lot of difference). However, not everything is perfect. There is not region hack for this model. A lot of budget...
