Toshiba SD 9000:
... The model looks great being in a colour other than Black. It is not oversized or cluttered with buttons on the front. This means that most of the controls, especially the additional features are held within the remote. The Remote: This is quite large, so there is very little chance of using it, but the buttons are positioned comfortably up the handset. Additional features are held beneath a pull down fl... Toshiba SD 100 ... am not really a hardware or home cinema obsessive - I wanted to be able to watch DVDs because I love movies, and had seen some releases like 'Bridge on the River Kwai' and 'Spartacus' available that I had only ever watched on television, in pan and scan. I bought this just before Christmas from Dixons (it was on offer at £200, though I've seen a lot of different prices). Most of the magazines and the few people who I know who have them said it was simple to use and very good value, so I bought it. I didn't want to spend ages researching, because at the moment, I just want to see the discs. I already had a huge telly with some surround-sound sp... Toshiba SD 210E ... till unsure what to do with it as I had never used a scart cable, and in the instructions it does not mention that scart is an automatic tuner, that was only pit fall about the instructions that I have found. So I connected th e cable turned on the DVD and instantly a message appeared on the TV welcoming me to DVD by Toshiba, amazing or what I thought. That then gave me my next worry, I tried to change channels but it automatically goes back to your scart channel, I referred back to instructions and this is where I found out that it automatically goes to scart when DVD is on full power, to ge... Toshiba SD 100 ... a mate of mine decided too upgrade his DVD player I thought Santa had come early as he offered me the SD-100EB for £100. I have not been disapointed with the picture quality or the sound. Both knock spots off the old video. It is very sleek and has a lovely silver finish. The machine is very quiet and has quite a number of extras dolby 5.1 being one of them. Drawbacks - small handset that is not very user friendly and does not play region 1 DVD's. For £100 can I complain - no. ... Read the full review: Cool looks and excellent picture. by welshwolf |
