... Toshiba SD100E was the second DVD player I have bought and in my opinion for the price it is the DADDY! For the price you can not get a better DVD player, it is a well known brand and it was at the time under £200 normally in this price range you would get a make you have never heard off. The main reason I bought the SD100E was the fact that it had been in ‘WHICH’ magazine as their months-star buy and for the price as well who was I to complain. When I got it home and hooked it up which was very easy, all I needed to do was scart it to the TV I immediately played The Matrix, which I had problems playing on my previous player. ... product for the price. It is not that well made. It has a picture quality which will not WOW you like that of a Sony or Panasonic model. You might as well buy a great quality one such as this and youll be able to really experience cinema quality. The remote control is a bit confusing and the on screen menus are quite unintuitive. It also interferes with my Hi Fi system! (unusual for a Toshiba product!) The buttons on the front feel quite solid and feel like they will last if you dont press them too hard. Im not sure that its build quality is up to scratch, though. ...

... Toshiba 2109 is a great DVD player. I bought it when it first came out, approximately 2 and a half years ago, and its still working perfectly. It outputs a great, crisp picture and good sound. There is also the option to create Surround Sound on just two speakers with a simple press of a button on the control. And to the control . . . its rather large, but allows you to use the DVD player very easily, all the buttons are appropriately placed and you will soon learn the layout of the control, so that you can play, pause, stop etc without having to look at the control.
