The Wharfdale DVD 750, is possibly the best DVD player I have seen for its price. You get a multi regional player (through a hack, press 01234 on the remote control and you only ever have to do this once), which works as a good CD player as well, a brilliant performance in the picture and sound quality and all for at most 180 quid, quite fantastic!

The only problems I have with it, is that it looks its price and has a slightly tacky user interface. But really, these are not problems to stop you buying it, hey nothings perfect. The Wharfdale has not yet let me down and being a Wharfdale I do not expect it to either. It has more than enough connections with RGB scart, optical and coaxial link. Although it is not Dolby 5.1 compatible, really who cares because people who can afford to have that many speakers can probably also afford a more expensive DVD player.

Recently this Wharfdale has been replaced by the M5, which I am told is just as good. I recommend this player as a great buy if you can get hold of one. If not you have certainly missed out. The only place which sells them is Tesco. So well done them as well.
