The Wharfdale DVD 750, is possibly the best DVD player I have seen for its price. You get a multi regional player (through a hack, press 01234 on the remote control and you only ever have to do this once), which works as a good CD player as well, a brilliant performance in the picture and sound quality and all for at most 180 quid, quite ... I bought my Wharfdale 750 from Richer sounds for ony £149.95 after my Cyber-Home ADL528 had an unfortunate encounter with a falling shelf. Why not just buy another Cyber-Home? My reason was CD playing performance. In addition to the player's excellent DVD picture and sound, it also has a very reasonable CD playback ... Read the complete review

Okay, this player has now been bettered by the M5 model also at Tesco, but when it came out in 1999, I snapped this up for £180. Multi-region, great picture and sound, easy to use, I would have recommended this to anyone. New players now can play MP3, VCDs, etc, this one can't but it'll play any DVD on the planet give or ... The Day I got this DVD player from my local Tescos, was also one of the best days of my life! On the same day, I had to go to work in the afternoon, I had a job interview in the morning, and I had got the job in the late morning! When I first used it I thought it was broken (because the only DVD I had was a region one), but then my friend told ... Read the complete review

I bought the Wharfedale on recommendation from my parents, and have not regretted it since. Not only does it look nice, but it plays like a dream. And, bargain of the century, it will play region 1 as well as RCE encoded!. As I buy most of my DVD's from the states (I collect rare horror), having a multi-region DVD player was a must, and I ... I've had a wharfedale 750s for 5 months now and it is exceptional. Everything about it is practical and efficient, and any negative points are really quite insignificant. The company itself is reknown for producing high quality audio equipment, and very few manufacturers have made such an impact with their first effort. ... Read the complete review

After rave reviews on the web and in magazines I finally succumbed to the Wharfedale 750s from TESCO. This was not my first experience with budget DVD players after auditioning several duff 'CYBERHOME' DVD players from WH Smith. I dont want to come across as being cheap but cost does play a large factor in my buying decisions! ... Read the complete review

I bought my Wharfedale dvd750 about 9 months ago and it has served me well. It is an incredibly powerful machine. Excellent picture quality and plays practically everything you through at it. Also plays CDr's and will play video cds too. If you are lucky enough to find a tescos that stock the 750s verison then buy it. It fixes the ... Read the complete review

This DVD player is not pretty, (though the 750s that I have has a better looking remote than the 750) but for the specification and price the machine cannot be beaten. The main attractions for me were the shockingly easy multi-region hack, the ability to set the DVD to a particular region (very important for new imported DVDs that check for ... I decided a couple of months ago to purchase a DVD player after months of being jealous of my brother who has a Sony. Not being the richest person in the world I decided to buy the Wharfedale 750 from Tesco after seeing reviews on it in DVD magazines who gave it top ratings in its class. And I have to say they are right! The picture quality and ... Read the complete review

The Warfdale DVD player was a must have, especialy at the price it was going for. We were looking around for a DVD player for an afordable price. We looked in a few magazines and all signs pointed in the dirrection of TESCO's. We decided if we were going to get one, that it should be this one so we did. The goodthing about this player is that ... Read the complete review

After having read all the reviews and asked around the local retailers who reassured me on this one. Despite the delay and the subsequent up grade by Tesco at no extra cost. I took receipt of my player. Quality as I had expected and value for money. Feeling good about such a purchase is essential and the user friendly system was ... Read the complete review

This is the best cheap DVD player on the market. Pop along to your local Tesco and for £180 you get a brand spanking new DVD player. The Wharfedale is better than most expensive DVD Players. It plays Region 1 and 2 DVDs, VCDs and CD-Rs. Not only that but it has DTS sound. It plays all American imports without fuss although you have have ... Read the complete review

I am writing my review of the newer version Wharfedale DVD player "Wharfedale DVD-750s" rather than the older, original "Wharfedale DVD-750". A fanatstic value player with loads of features. It's so easy to make it play imported american disks, all done with the remote. It can then easily be setup to output the signal as either NTSC or more importantly PAL so it will work on a UK TV. Picture quality and sound quality are great. The remote is a little fiddly but works fine. ... Read the complete review

Yes, definitely! For me the three most important considerations (apart from price, of course) when buying my DVD player were Picture Quality, Sound Quality and Multi-Region capability, this player meets all three requirements easily. The picture is excellent, and this is helped by the fact the player outputs an RGB signal through the ... Read the complete review
