After much soul searching and scanning around the net I finally took the plunge and purchased a 750 from Tescos about 2 months ago. I wanted a DVD player with good video output (RGB) but without any surround sound decoding, it had to be cheap, play CDRs, be multi-region, black (strange i know, but i didnt want a silver player sat between my black ...  Read the complete review

Nice player this and I'll tell you why. First it's cheap, much cheaper than yor avarage Panasonic or Sony. Second, unlike your avarage Panasonic or Sony it can be made codefree with a simple 1,2,3Play on the remote. Third and also unlike most Panasonics and Sony's that do not require the removal of extraneous body parts before you can ...  Read the complete review

Its a cracker of a DVD player - a snip at 180 notes, and can play all the DVDs in the world - a godsend with the current strength of the pound. As has been mentioned here, the remote is a bit of a dog, but don't let that distract you from the fact that it ...  Read the complete review

The Wharfedale DVD-750 is only available in Tesco's - if you're lucky to find any in stock. Retailing at £180, you'd think that this player would be a must for those who want a cheap but decent DVD player. Luckily it is pretty decent but not necessary the best choice. The picture & sound quality are very good, but ...  Read the complete review

A couple of months ago I bought a Wharfedale 750 DVD player for £180 from Tesco and it outperforms my other DVD player a Toshiba SD 2109.Picture quality is excellent and sound quality is very good.It is able to play discs from any region without having to enter a code unlike other budget players. The only downside is the design, it is very dull and ...  Read the complete review
