Wharfedale DVD M5:
... must admit I do not know the ins and outs of the dvd players world but as a mother and a constant dvd watcher, I am impressed with the Wharfedale M5. Even my one and a half year old knows how to switch it on. It's a neat, silver, fairly compact little player and has not given us any problems and when we bought it fro Tesco's, it was the cheapest as well. So, what more can I say - it's a great item ... Wharfedale DVD M5 ... M5 DVD Player Or Is It ???? I don't think theres many people out there who ever take the lid off of there Hi-Fi or DVD equipment etc when it just suddenly stops working. I was amazed when I took the lid off of my Wharfedale M5 DVD player,as for inside, they have used a standard DVD CD Rom drive from a late 1980's PC/Computer,which has all the same line connections, such as the power in supply/A ribbon cable marked with the red strip on the outer line & a soundcard lead to a very small soundcard motherboard. So what are you getting for your money here,a pc or a DVD player. On the main motherboard for this item, there sits a a green PC processor which lo... Wharfedale 750 DVD ... Wharfdale DVD 750, is possibly the best DVD player I have seen for its price. You get a multi regional player (through a hack, press 01234 on the remote control and you only ever have to do this once), which works as a good CD player as well, a brilliant performance in the picture and sound quality and all for at most 180 quid, quite fantastic! The only problems I have with it, is that it looks its price and has a slightly tacky user interface. But really, these are not problems to stop you buying it, hey nothings perfect. The Wharfdale has not yet let me down and being a Wharfdale I do not expect it to either. It has more than enough connections with RGB scart, o... Wharfedale 750 DVD ... I bought my Wharfdale 750 from Richer sounds for ony £149.95 after my Cyber-Home ADL528 had an unfortunate encounter with a falling shelf. Why not just buy another Cyber-Home? My reason was CD playing performance. In addition to the player's excellent DVD picture and sound, it also has a very reasonable CD playback performance. The improvement in quality when playing CDs thorugh my mini system amp using the Wharfdale rather than the onboard CD player was amazing! This makes it an ideal purchase for somone looking to move into hi-fi separates, as it can act as an perfectly good CD player until a dedicated player can be purchased. I have also tested the W...
