Philips DVDR 3380: ... player looks great but it s not the easiest to use. The machine takes a good 30 secs to register it s been switched on and then takes ages to eject the drawer. There s no ffwd button on the remote, which is a bit annoying. I can t get it to record on DVD RW discs either! It just crashes when I insert disc. I ve never tried a different DVD recorder but this one isn t 100% perfect....

... LVW-5002 DVD Player I have had this DVD player now for a couple of years and I think I am stuck with it until I can get the funds together to get another one. I have been disappointed with this player since day one and I wish I had returned it as soon as I realised how rubbish it truly was. I bought it from Curry’s as I say a few years ago when the recordable DVD player first came out. I paid £180 for the machine with remote control and this price was pretty much the cheapest I could find for a recordable DVD player at that time. I think you can pick them up for probably about half the price now. The DVD player really looks the part and is a lovely silver ...

... Review is also on my Ciao ccount Jenny76 My very first memory of recording from the TV is when my dad bought us a BetaMax player for the house and way back then more years than I care to remember, my first film on BetaMax was Star Wars yes a girl who like s Sci-Fi and I still do. The picture was never really good not that we knew that way back then and I was over the moon when my dad eventually went to VHS like all my friends. Nowadays both these recording types are seen as ancient and I feel old for even having known them but now is the future and DVD players are what I use not only downstairs but in the kitchen and up in the bedroom s. Even then DVD players seem t...

... in Australia. Do not know much about technology but my VCR broke down and this is my replacement. So far I have worked through the manual and have taken several days to do so [my own fault]. I find the manual very easy to follow and the DVD recorder works perfect. I am still searching though. I can record for 3 hours and I need to find the way to record for 8 hours. The only thing I can complain about is that the manual does not have an index and it takes me a long time to find things from the contents page. I am still exploring but can write more review later. My tip: be patient and take your time with the manual, which is good....
