Panasonic Diga DMR-EX78EB-K ... Panasonic DMR-EX768 was on my must have list for a while before I actually took the plunge. I read many reviews and studied the spec assiduously. The net result being that my expectations were high and, wait for it, I was definitely not disappointed! UPSCALING This bit of great looking kit enhances your DVDs and digital recordings to HD like images. As I had purchased a Panasonic Plasma Screen TV over a year ago this upscaling was the main motivation for getting the DMR. Picture and sound are amazing; no diappointment on that score, really well worth it. Panasonic Diga DMR-EX78EB-K ... couldn t record any of these digital programmes on my trusty old VCR. What really drove me nuts though was my cheapo set-top box eventually became unusable, because it would keep freezing up on me. That was the last straw! So enough was enough - no more telly hell. I treated myself to this Panasonic DMR-EX78EB-K Freeview+ 250GB HDD DVD Recorder for Christmas. I therefore bought this product ultimately to satisfy my two main requirements: to record programmes on Freeview onto the its hard disc drive or onto DVD, and to use it as a DVD player! Panasonic Diga DMR-EX88EG-K ... recorder with lots of functionality however at this price you would expect that !! Image quality is good and does everything you would want it too. Its a sleek black design which looks great with my black samsung tv. However there are many cheaper players which would do the job without having to spend this much money. Panasonic are a god make which offers quality - Good programme guide on the freeview player and the noise reductio detection really does seem to work - not really sure I understand how!
