Advantages: really easy to use and to install
Disadvantages: technology is fairly old compared to new DVD players
My parents bought the LG DR 275 DVD player / recorder when we moved to Spain. The DVD player does it job although it does not want to play some of my fake movies. The LG DR 275 DVD is not the most modern DVD player available on the market due to a lack of modern technology. You can buy much better DVD players / recorders nowadays however you will pay a price.

The DVD player supports all DVD's however it could have some trouble with some of the DVD's which are less known. It does not support blue ray, so that could be a down side. It has the ability to record roughly about 10 hours of DVD's however the quality of recording will go down even if you press the option that says "good quality".
The LG DR 275 DVD has AV connections on the front of the DVD player this allows easy access to your camera or camcorder. This is a major advantage if you place it on a shelf where you can't reach the back easily so you can just stick your wires in without moving any of the apparatus.
You can also listen to songs which are in the format of MP3 and/or WMA. The RGB allows better picture quality and the parental controls restrict access to different features by using codes.

Price ranges variable depending on where you are going to buy the product however the best price now is round 70 pounds. Other prices are from 65 to 100 pounds depending on where you're looking and weather transport cost is expensive or cheap. I bought my DVD player for roughly 78 pounds which was the cheapest price available then. There are loads of different deals on different internet sites out there on this product now. Most of the products have the same range depending on the fact if you buy the product with sending or without.

Overal l the LG DR 275 is a reliable piece of machinery which will do the job. It hasn't got the latest technology stuffed into it nor does it have the best looks however it will cost you several times less then other players. Installing the LG DR 275 is a piece of cake as the instruction booklet is easy to understand. Connection to and from your TV, camcorder or camera are clearly labeled so no huge problems here like our other DVD recorder.
