I've had one of these digital recorders for around a year and a half. The motivation behind buying it is that we're not always in to catch our favourite programmes. Plus we wanted a decent quality DVD player. This seems like the suitable solution. The setup wasn't to strenuous and it had a few good options for keeping it on standby or switching it off completely which you can change later on in the machine's life.

The built in freeview is very good, the menus are easy to navigate and everything works as it should. For us, we feel like we're not experiencing the full potential of the machine due to it delivering a 1080p image whereas our tv screen is only 780p.

The only issues we have found is that sometimes the machine will record the adverts before a programme and cut off the end of the programme which is a bit disappointing. Sometimes things like the heating going off affects it which is probably to do with the way our tv and aerial are set up.

All in all, this is a great little box for fans of film who like to add movies to their collections while they're screened on tv. I highly recommend it!
