The recorder is easy to use. It plays dvds and recordings very well. It has component output for high quality connection to LCD screens. It does not have a digital TV tuner however.

The Panasonic E85 is a cracking DVD-Recorder. I'm pretty sure the more modern and up to date versions from Panasonic are just as good. The Panasonic comes with an 80GB hard drive that can record around 30 hours at a good quality rate, top is about half as much. You can record directly to hard drive or two DVD discs.
