The Panasonic DMR-ES15, i would consider as the best DVD recorder in its price range. Panasonic recorders have always been amongst the best, and for around £150 you wont get better than this for a straight forward DVDR. This recorder will allow you to record roughly 8 hours worth of high quality video. It has PAL progressive scan to give you a better playback quality. It now comes with a DV input to make it much easier for connecting your camcorder to, making your life a lot easier when transferring your home videos to a DVD.
