Panasonic Diga DMR-EX88EG-K ... recorder with lots of functionality however at this price you would expect that !! Image quality is good and does everything you would want it too. Its a sleek black design which looks great with my black samsung tv. However there are many cheaper players which would do the job without having to spend this much money. Panasonic are a god make which offers quality - Good programme guide on the freeview player and the noise reductio detection really does seem to work - not really sure I understand how! The dvd recorder works well - just make sure you buy rewritable disks or recording like this could get very expensive. Generally a good product but I would look around a... Panasonic Diga DMR-E55EG-S ... recently received the Panasonic DMR E55 DVD recorder from a friend, as they had upgraded to a newer recorder. At first, I found the remote control confusing, especially not having an eject button the remote. You can record upto 16 hours on DVD - RAM Disc, upto 8 hourd DVD -R - depending on recording quality that is selected. I have found out setting the timer is quite tricky, as you have to go through a view menus, by using the remote control. There is plenty of features available to user, like pressing record to record the current channel that you are watching. The playback picture is very good, using PAL through a scart lead. Panasonic Diga DMR-ES10 ... DMR-ES10 is a DVD recorder made by Panasonic. As it s now a few years old, you can pick-up this model for an average price of around £40 on ebay. This represents good value for money considering the machine when new cost just under £200. The DMR-ES10 supports DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM formats - it doesn t however work with DVD+RW discs. There s a whole host of input / output options round the back of the unit including: A digital optical out (useful for when connecting to a 5.1 cinema system or amp), a Scart in and out, S-Video in and out, composite video in and out, and compononent outputs.
