	Philips DVDR3570H ... to cut the crap from dv tapes before moving to the computer to finish the product. Well theres always going to be a downside to these things. It s absolutely massive so make sure you have plenty of room before purchasing. The remote is not very ergonomic for daily usage, and the menus respond very slowly even once you get used to the remote. Finally the worst and probably suicidal problem with the player. NO EPG I mean come on this has got to be a basic of a HDD recorder how can I choose what I want to record. To make this product superb Philips simply have to add freeview and an epg for setting my recordings. But apart from that quality of video and sound is great.... 	Philips DVDR 3380 ... player looks great but it s not the easiest to use. The machine takes a good 30 secs to register it s been switched on and then takes ages to eject the drawer. There s no ffwd button on the remote, which is a bit annoying. I can t get it to record on DVD RW discs either! It just crashes when I insert disc. I ve never tried a different DVD recorder but this one isn t 100% perfect.... Read the full review: You'd think for the money, it'd be better by LV
	Philips DVDR3305 ... am now on my fourth DVD Recorder, the reason being that the previous three all developed faults and became unreliable. Unfortunately the Philips is no exception. I ve had the Philips DVDR for 3 months now. The physical design I think is good, it can be operated using the remote and the basic features can also be operated using the front buttons. Several manuals are provided, each written in a different language which I think is good. However the installation instructions for connecting to Free view were incorrect and did not work with my set-up. I did get everything working but not using the instructions given!
