DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!!! My advice would be if you have or been given one for Xmas - take it the hell back and get a refund or exchange it for a NON Samsung DVD recorder. Samsung should be prosecuted for selling what is obviously a faulty machine! Plenty of reviews online ALL saying the same thing - it will NOT accept DVD-RW. So, not fit for purpose. Samsung will probably blame the consumer, as always. Well, FOUR brands of HIGH QUALITY BRAND NAMES, cleaning the lensas suggested on some sites DOES NOT WORK! Seriously, you will regret the day you bought one of these pieces of crap! I've spent more money on finding out WHICH brand plays - as the manual is utterly useless when it says 'some brands may not work' but DOESN'T tell you which do! HELLO, are there ANY people with brain cells employed at this company???! No, poor old buyer has to go buying several brands and in the end NONE of the bloody things work! Because the machine is FAULTY! Obviously, this is one of those machines that is faulty in batches at the point of manufacturing. It's not on, SAMSUNG! And for over £100 you are purely buying something that doesn't work! RIP OFF! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER SAMSUNG AND SORT THIS OUT! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM YOUR COMPANY AGAIN. For the money I've spent on brand name DVD-RWs trying to get it to initialise I could have bought a cheap VCR. My advice would be to people wanting this machine - do just that! Least with a VCR it will not freeze, spit out the tapes and refuse to accept them! DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!
