This DVD recorder comes from the well know reliable source of Samsung Electronics, and cost me £150. It's a basic looking thin, gloss black machine and looks like any dvd player, nothing fancy here appearance wise. It does however have a hard disc drive built in and also a free view digital tuner. The hard disc space is ... Read the complete review

This item should have been taken off the market, its very user unfriendly, slow and generally overly complicated! Nearly every review I have read (Amazon, Comet have plenty!), say the same thing...rubbish! Do not buy as you can get a more user friendly HDD recorders for around the same price.

I've had this model for about three months now. We've tried to set it up and did so at one point, but having a Hitachi tv the remote control does not work, even putting in the right codes. So that went out the window for a start. Like "January" said the manual isso difficult to follow and has a lot in it that is not at all easy to understand. I was in the process of getting another machine, but I think I'll persevere a bit longer. If the online retailer sent me another remote or tell me why the codes are not being accepted, then that wouldn't be so bad. But when you've got a problem after buying something online the retailer never wants to know! At least the shops are more accommodating than online traders!

I paid £149.00 from Curry's which may seem a lot to ... Read the complete review
