	Sony RDR-HX750B ... Sony RDR-HX750B is an all singing, all dancing DVD and hard drive recorder at an amazing price. The 160 GB hard drive offers up to a massive 455 hours of recording time and DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW discs can all be recorded on and high-speed dubbing means you can quickly record from the hard drive straight to DVD. It almost goes without saying as this is a Sony product but the recording and playback quality are utterly top notch. In addition, it has an HDMI output with 1080p upscaling which is just stunning and really gets the most out of your DVD collection. Who needs Blu-ray when you can make the most of your HD flat screen with such a great upscaler? It also include... 	Sony RDR-HX725S ... inherited this item from my aunt as she couldnt get it to work, turns out it has a common fault with the hard drive on it. So my experiences with it when it was working were very good. The player has a very nice interface as most sony products do. Output wise its very equipt, on the back you have 2 Scart sockets, 1X component progressive out, 1x red, white and yellow composite out, on the front is a composite an S-Video input and a DV input to link your sony camcorder to. The player plays dvds very nicely with little disk loading times. The picture quality is very good considering the price of the DVR. 	Sony RDR-HXD870B ... have read through Nibelung s review of this Sony machine and he does make some valid points about it. I also own this DVD recorder/hard drive/freeview tuner and I have to say that it is an absolutely superb piece of kit. I do have to state that I am running it through a HDTV that displays at 1080p and the freeview signal is very crisp and clear. Initial set up is very straightforward and quick to do, again as Nibelug states the A5 manual is 150+ pages and lets be honest most people will not read it.
