My next review although is for a film, I am proud to be writing about, its not only based on a true story, but also has a significant impact on my heritage, and moreover important for many Indians all over the world. This review is on the 1982, Academy award winning film "Gandhi", directed by Richard Attenborough and starring the magnificent Ben Kinsely as Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi is one of those films that I've been meaning to watch for a long time, a film labelled as a classic, so I decided to rent the DVD and see what I was missing. The film is directed by Richard Attenborough and starred Ben Kingsley in the role of Gandhi. The film starts by showing Gandhi's death, which is where the film also ends, and that sobering scene was never far from my mind throughout the entire film. After this is the scene of a rather almost arrogant Gandhi demanding that he has a right as a solicitor to sit where he wants on a South African train, before then getting thrown off.
