Gladiator is possibly one of the most quoted, talked about and reviewed films of this millenium. It is no surprise that here on dooyoo, there are already 332 reviews written on this one film! But I thought I would put my opinions into the pot for you all to read as well. Gladiator is a 2000 'epic' directed by Ridley Scott and starring Russell Crowe as the Roman General who finds himself more than just down on his luck. Historical films have never really been my cup of tea to be honest, but this film soon sorted that out, due to its excellent cast, and its action thrilled inspired director Ridley Scott. This film is directed by Ridley Scott, after a few failings making big films, has returned to form with this stunning two and a half-hour very realistic film based in roman times. The film also has a cast that contains a mixture of rising stars and very experienced pro’s, including a last performance from Oliver Reed.
