I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (DVD) ... ... / DVD released 16 April, 2007 at Uca Catalogue / Features of the DVD: Anamorphic, Dubbed, PAL / There was so much story left to tell after I Know What You Did Last Summer that the filmmakers brought back all the beloved, surviving characters from the first film for this sequel. Ray (Freddie Prinze Jr), Julie (Jennifer Love Hewitt), and Julie's white tank top (Jennifer Love Hewitt's white tank top) return to once again face a hook-wielding maniac. Not satisfied merely to repeat a theme, director Danny Cannon and screenwriter Trey Callaway add variation by introducing Karla (Brandy) as Julie's best friend in the whole wide world. Karla and Julie have won a summer trip to the Bahamas with their current infatuations but find that they've arrived at the start of the storm season and that at their hotel "Do Not Disturb" signs should flip to say "R.I.P." One can only hope to hang just such a sign on this repetitive, tedious franchise, especially since this version is less scary than the price of beer in those little hotel room refrigerators. Definite contender for Gratuitous T&A Shot of the Year (it's of Hewitt and that's not meant as a recommendation). --Keith Simanton

... and makes most of the plot completely redundant – as if it needed any help) but it has some quality stalk sequences and you should find yourself rooting for Julie by the time the credits role –the term ‘you go girl’ springs to mind-. Plus, the final fight sequence is pure comic book bubblegum action fun, even if the open ended finale leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Sadly the first half of I Know is dreadfully dull and wholly unconvincing, nothing happens for the first hour apart from some mindless interaction ...more

After the horrors of last year (which saw Julie and her friends mow down a man, throw him in the river and vow to never discuss it again. However, the next year a man donned in a fishermen’s slick slaughtered half of the group before Julie fought him and ‘killed’ him’) Julie and her new best friend win a holiday to the Caribbean and decide to go with their boyfriends. However, when all transportation is destroyed by a freak storm and every form of outside communication is marred the gang are under threat once again from the mass murderer. I Still Know What You Did Last Summer is a hugely unbelievable, incredibly clichéd, often laughable attempt to cash in on ...

The gory American slash fest epic goes on and on and on and the public never tires of it - it's a very standard formula when you suss it - gorgeous young American babe who is just that little bit different and that little bit lonely, vulnerable, that sort of thing, becomes the object of some weirdo with a fixation on dealing out death and destruction but only after scaring his helpless victim halfway to death and back over several weeks of high pressure stalking and several evenings of frighteningly provocative undress before the big, scary finale with plenty of screaming - Friday the 13th, Halloween, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Scream, they're all the same ...

"I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" is the sequel to the very popular teen horror "I Know What You Did Last Summer." Both Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr play their original characters, Ray and Julie however this time there's also the added bonus of Brandy and the new talent Mekhi Phifer. The story is based around Julie and Ray escaping death in the previous film after almost killing Ben Willis and then covering it up. In this film Ben is back to get his wish and kill them both, no matter how many people die as a result. "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" is full of extra twists to make an over all successful ...
