This film is a classic in my book. A fantastic mix of Oscar Wildes’ writing and an amazing cast (which includes Rupert Everett, Minnie Driver, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore and Jeremy Northam). This story follows a witty playboy Lord Goring (Everett) and his straight-lased friends, Sir Robert Chiltern (the brilliant politician played by Northam) and his wife Lady Chiltern (womens liberation leader played by Blanchett). As a forgotten ghost (the nasty Mrs Cheveley, portrayed beautifully by Julianne Moore) return to London Scandal and intrigue follow. How did Sir Robert get to where he is?
