Arnold Schwarzenegger was in 2 films in 1990. The first was the ground-breaking sci-fi thriller Total Recall. The second was this offering, an easier to watch film named Kindergarten Cop, more of a comedic role for Arnie with a hint of danger and a little bit of a hard man performance. The film was somewhat overshadowed for Arnie, as it was sandwiched in between Total Recall and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and was also slated by many for being too farcical and not suiting the muscle bound actor.
