Your would think that a top model shaver like the Braun Syncro, priced at £160 would offer value for mmoney - but you'd be wrong !!! I have used Braun shavers for over 20 years and feel the quality and reliability of their products are getting worse as time passes. The Braun Syncro looks very nice, but you don't buy a shaver because of what it looks like. The Braun Syncro gives a reasonably good close shave, but because of it's narrow foils, it struggles to handle a 2 or 3 day stubble. I have an old electric Braun shaver that is around 15 years old, which handles a 3 day stubble without any fuss - I wish they still made that model these days. The cutter blades on the Syncro can also shatter easily, but because they are so small and flimsy, they don't damage the foil when they do shatter. You think that's a bonus, as it just means you have to buy a new cutter, but think again !!! You can buy a Syncro foil on it's own, but if you need the cutter, you can only buy it in a pack with a foil. If the foil is undamaged, it means you end-up paying around £6 for a foil you don't need. I can assure you that my next shaver will not be a Braun.
