“ Brand: Philips / Type: Men's Shaver „
Although I have had Philips shavers in the past, this one is a cut above. Out of the box, it gave me the closest shave I have ever had from an electric, which in fact felt smoother than a quick wet shave. Over time, this is not quite the case, but it still provides reliably close shaves.
Unlike past models I have used, the heads on this unit flex to the contours of my face thanks to a very simple design innovation called the Reflex Action System, which means that each head is individually sprung and hinged so that all three will be in contact with the skin even along the chin and jaw line.
Although this type of shaver cannot be used in the shower and works best on dry skin, the electronics are mildly water-resistant and it is possible to clean the shaving heads simply by running them under hot water.
One problem with this shaver is the system for empying the hairs. The catch for this can sometimes unintentionally get released, even though the head-guard's design should protect against this. Also, when emptying clippings, be careful not to tap it too hard against the sink edge as this can cause the head unit to fall off. Easy to reattach, but annoying nonetheless!
Overall, a very good shaver at a reasonable price.
I recently purchased this shaver as my current one had seen better days, i was quite worried about buying a shaver with three shaving head as i thought it would be too big to hold.
However when i used the shaver for the first time i was pleasently surprised at how it fits nicely into your hand and the head doesnt feel too big on your face.
So far i have had a very clean shave from this product, it says in the manual that it can take a few shaves for it to get used to the shape your face and i think it has definatly improved over time.
The shaver itself has a battery charging indicator and also warns you when the battery is running out. Charging takes afew hours although there is a quick charge options that gives you enough charge for one shave with about 5 minutes of charging.
In the box is a charger, cleaning brush although quite annoyingly no case as i have found this handy for when i am going away, the shaver is also nice and quiet so wont wake others up if you have to get up early :)
The battery last around about a week and that is using it everyday. The shavers costs around abouts £70 and i think this is a good price for the results it gives.
This shaver is very ergonomically pleasing as it fits just right into your hands. I have always got a close shave from this shaver as it is perfectly designed to follow the contours of your face and neck. The hair it captured neatly under the blades which can then easily be cleaned.
*Battery: the battery life usually between 5 or 6 shaves without having to recharge it, re-charging takes about an hour to reach fully done which is shown be a green light.
*Shaving: there is a handy trimming feature which comes with most shavers and it is easy just to flick it out and use. This is great for trimming and smartening up your side burns.
*Cleaning: Cleaning is a very simple process where you can flick open the top with a click of a button and wash out the hair cuttings by running it under a tap. There is also a handy brush provided.
It comes with a cleaning brush, a travel pouch, a protection cover and a mains charger.
You can purchase one of these for around £50 on-line or in an electrical store. I would recommend this as it isn't expensive and all in all provides a great shave taking around 5 minutes.
