Boots Expert Rechargeable Toothbrush 8000
by flodombey For a few years I have owned a Phillips Sonicare toothbrush but the button had broken after it after so much use and therefore I needed a new electric toothbrush to replace it but did not fancy spending such a huge amount (the Sonicare had in fact been a xmas gift). I figured that Boots are usually pretty reliable on such items and went ... for this pretty basic but rechargeable brush which was £12.49. I have had it now for around 3 months and although it works ok it is not a patch on my previous brush and I have had a few 'teething' problems with it (forgive the pun). The brush comes with a mains charger and two replacement heads so it is pretty good value for money for what you actually get in the box. Further replacement heads retail for around the £7 mark for 2 or the £11 mark for 4 so again represent pretty good value. The brush does have the basic elements you would expect from such a brush, multi height bristles to reach all parts of your teeth, a two minute timer so you can gauge how long you have been brushing for and oscillating head to get a thorough clean. I have no issues with the way it cleans my teeth or the way it leaves my mouth feeling - in this respect it is as good as the Phillips brush I used to use. My issues have been with the switch which seems to be overly sensitive and a bit temperamental, sometimes I have to press it three or four times before it responds. Sometimes it responds with a delay and then I inadvertently switch it back off again by accident. Sometimes I accidentally hit it whilst brushing and switch it off, thus ruining the timer function (it will pause after two minutes so you know it has been that period of time). I think I must hold the brush in a weird way because my thumb knocks the switch more than I think it should, however, as I have adjusted to the size and weight of the brush it has become less of an issue and happens less often. As I said above, my issues with this brush relate in no way to it's abilities as a toothbrush but to the switch. To my mind it is a great value rechargeable brush but there are some design issues which, for me, make it not the easiest to use. Read the complete review |

Boots Expert Rechargeable Toothbrush 7600
by NicndDan I have always preferred the clean feel of an Electric Tootbrush as oppose to the standard devices and the latest brush I have been using was this device I picked up from my local Boots store. I usually stick the bigger name specialist brands but decided that after reading positive reviews I would give the cheaper Boots Expert 7600 a ... chance. And it has proven to be a decision well worth taking! This cost me a mere £12.99 and has proven to be better, more refreshing and give a more thorough clean that brushes that cost up to 6 times the price. I am more than happy with this purchase and this will be my chosen brand of toothbrush from now on. The brush has a good weight to it and is made of a durable plastic which gives off the impression of quality. It is a solidly constructed piece of kit and in my months of usage has survived many falls from and into the sink. Very handy indeed! The head is on the small side but the power and oscillation it gets are tremendous and it really does feel like it is giving your teeth an excellent clean. This is where some toothbrushes fail but not in this case. As soon as it makes contact with the tooth you can feel the head cleaning away and after one brush using this you will begin to feel your oral hygiene improving vastly. Due to the way and speed of this brush my mouth feels better and more fresh all the time and I would never go back to another brand. The bristles have good durability and last considerably longer than rival brands have done and this again is another positive step in your decision to buy this. This device is charged from the mains and the battery is supposed to last 5-6 days using 2 brushes a day but I have found a full charge lasts me 9-10 days of 3-times-a-day brushing which is very good going. Thus in terms of value, level of cleanliness and durability this is one toothbrush I would certainly recommend! Read the complete review |

Boots Expert Rechargeable Toothbrush 7600
by Whizz11 I have an electric toothbrush that cost me quite a lot of money, £100 or so, so when I go on holiday I do not take it away with me. Instead, for going away I bought a cheap Boots electric toothbrush so I don't have to worry about it if anything goes wrong with it. I have used an electric toothbrush now for a number of years ... and would never go back to a manual toothbrush. I love the way it cleans my teeth so well and makes them feel squeaky clean as well as over time making them a lot whiter than they used to be. an electric toothbrush is clinically proven to reduce plaque and gum problems more than manual brushing. I bought this electric toothbrush from Boots and it was quite cheap, about £10-£12 so a good investment for a travel brush and a great price compared to having to buy lots of manual brushes and throw them away after a month or two. I have had this brush for about a year now and so the price works itself out over time. The toothbrush has a round head brush and what is called a rotating oscillation, meaning that it rotates round and round to clean your teeth. The nice thing about an electric toothbrush is that you do not technically need to brush. You just hold this brush on your teeth and the moving head does all the work for you. In fact, you are actually not meant to brush as this does more damage than good and the power that you get from the rotating head is far more power than you could ever achieve on your own. There is a simple on off pad that you press in the middle of the toothbrush to, yep, you've guessed it, turn the brush on and off! The brush has a gripped handle so when you have it in your hand it is quite easy to hold on to, especially when it gets its spin on and is oscillating in your hand! I have read that dentists recommend you brush your teeth for at least 2 minutes twice a day. Now, that doesn't sound very much but if you actually timed yourself you will find that two minutes is quite a long time when it comes to brushing your teeth. Back in the day when people just used manual brushes you can bet that they never brushed for two minutes, well nowadays for better looking teeth these brushes actually help you to achieve a two minute brush. This toothbrush will buzz a few times once you have reached your two minute timing so I know to wait until that to stop my brushing. I think this is a really good function and I was pleased to find it on this cheap toothbrush as although it comes on my more expensive one I didn't think it would come with this one. The brush is charged with a plug in mains charger and is said to last approximately five days. When I go away for a weekend I find I don't need to take my charger as the brush will definitely last for that amount of time but for any longer I do need to charge it up as it doesn't really last five days for me and over time it has lasted less than in the beginning but then again I do brush my teeth quite a bit during the day especially if I am in and out of the house all the time and after eating. The brush comes with two heads so you do not need to buy a new head for a couple of months which again is a good value part of this toothbrush which is a value electric toothbrush I recommend.
