Advantages: lots of different heads, good clean, long battery life, times 2 minutes for you
Disadvantages: only comes with a 2-pin plug
This is a good quality, high-powered toothbrush. When I bought it it just came in a set with the normal heads but here you get a set of different heads with it. I've already bought these heads as they were recommended by my dentist because I have a permanent "retainer" on the inside of my teeth (like orthodontic "train tracks" but on the inside). The tiny little head is great for cleaning between the little spaces I have there. It's also great for cleaning around my wisdom teeth as a normal toothbrush doesn't work back there. The tongue cleaner bit comes in handy too - makes your mouth feel nice and fresh, all in all.
It has a little inbuilt timer which is great as it "pulses" every 30 seconds with a longer pulse after 2 minutes so you know you've spent the required time cleaning your teeth.
Unlike the other reviewer said, the blue light does not stay on all the time unless it's sitting on the charger and plugged into the socket. And we all know it's a waste of energy to plug things in that are already charged anyway!
The only thing I didn't like is that the charger only fits a shaving socket and I don't have one in my bathroom so I had to buy an adapter to get it to fit a normal 3-pin socket. But you can get them pretty cheaply - a few quid from somewhere like Argos - it was just a bit of a pain.
Oh and the battery life lasts quite a while, you can take it away with you for a week or two without having to pack a charger, as long as it's fully charged before you leave. According to the manufacturer it lasts for 45 minutes on one charge, so at two minutes a day (or four if you brush twice a day) you can work out how long it will last you.
It's a little noisy to run. I'm always a bit self-conscious about using it after everyone's gone to bed (I go to bed quite late and my housemates are often asleep by the time I get there) so I sometimes use a manual brush instead. But you wouldn't necessarily notice in the daytime, or you might not care, so it's up to you!
Summary: great quality, no problems

- 25/06/09 Thanks Nar2. I don't usually add cost price as it goes out of date so fast and if people are serious about buying then a quick search on Dooyoo, Amazon or Google should tell them what current prices are. I think it would be misleading to add a price, but you've obviously got more experience than me at this so tell me what you think.
I already said it would last for 1-2 weeks but I've added more detail, and mentioned the noise thing too.
Thanks for your pointers : ) |

A good start here. For buyers though some more info could be good here such as:
Cost price
Is it noisy in use?
Cost of replacement burhses
How long does it run for generally after one charge?
Adding info isn't compulsory but it could boost your review further. If you update your review please msg me.
