Oral-B Professional Care 1000
Advantages: Does the trick - leaves your entire mouth feeling fresh and clean
Disadvantages: may have to buy a UK plug adapter as it came with a two prong plug.
Over the years I have had a number of issues of improving and keeping up with the health of my teeth and gums ever since I had my braces. Once the braces were removed I found that my gums became inflamed and I had developed mild gum disease and for many years I struggled to maintain this with a normal tooth brush and found it difficult to find the perfect one for my teeth so it didn't cause discomfort but cleaned them effectively. I lost all hope and eventually I received this tooth brush as a present at christmas time, I was sceptical about it because I had never used an electric tooth brush before and I told myself that i'd be put off the sensation of it - However, once I fully charged it, I gave it a go and I had never in my life felt my teeth feel so clean and look so fabulous!
From the very first use I was impressed and wouldn't swap it for anything else as my gums are getting better and my teeth are getting whiter. What's more is that it comes with a pressure sensor to ensure that you aren't putting excessive strain on your teeth and gums. It lights up red and flashes and makes a small noise to let you know when you're being a little tough with it, which is great as it pretty much teaches you how to care for your teeth properly as you go along.
The only annoying thing about the whole product was the fact that, despite it being bought from a UK boots store the plug was a two prong plug for overseas! So I had to purchase a UK fitting to clip onto that so I could actually charge it. I can't say whether anyone else has had the same issues as myself, although I am aware my mother bought the same tooth brush elsewhere and hers too came with the two prong plug which really is a bit annoying when you're forking out a chunk of money and you have to pay a couple of quid more to be able to use it, but I guess once you get hold of one it's worth it as the tooth brush is absolutely brilliant itself.
As expected with the majority of electric tooth brushes it is quite noisy, which kind of drains you on a morning if you're pretty damn tired but you can't particularly fault it with this as it's so powerful and the battery life lasts about a week for me personally. I brush my teeth twice a day every day so a weekly charge in necessary for this, pretty good going considering I take a good five minutes making sure I've cleaned my mouth properly.
All in all, a great and reliable tooth brush that leaves your teeth feeling absolutely amazing and drastically improves your oral health.
Summary: Great value for money, worth every penny if you're looking to have healthy teeth and gums.
