Advantages: Gives a fantastic clean, can help with gum problems
Disadvantages: Replaceable heads can be pricey
I got this toothbrush for christmas 2010 from my parents. I had wanted an electric toothbrush for a while as my gums had started to get sore from brushing too hard with a normal toothbrush. My grandad used to be a Dentist and said I would be much better off with an electric toothbrush to give me gums a chance to heal.
My parents told me they paid £35 for this toothbrush, and I know i've seen it retailing from around £20 when there are offers on to around £50 at the most expensive stores. The toothbrush comes with a charging base. You need an adapter for this toothbrush as the charger is a 2 pin charger. The toothbrush charges relatively quickly, and once charged lasts a good couple of weeks. You are also able to use a selection of toothbrush heads with this electric toothbrush.
You only need about a pea sized amount of toothpaste when using this toothbrush which I found has saved me toothpaste in comparison to my old manual toothbrush. When you brush with this toothbrush it leaves your teeth feeling smooth and fantastically clean. I have never had a feeling like it with any other toothbrush.
It also has a red light that shines when you are brushing too hard so I have found that my gums have been considerably better since using this toothbrush. My grandad was definitely right, this is a fab toothbrush.
Overall, I would definitely recommend using this toothbrush, especially if you have had issues with brushing too hard and having sore gums as a result. The price is definitely worth paying for the toothbrush and I can't see anyone being disappointed with it. The only downside I can think of is that some of the replaceable heads can be pricey but if you shop around online and buy them when they are on offer, then this shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Summary: A fantastic toothbrush
