Oral-B Professional Care 500
Advantages: Simplistic and easy to use
Disadvantages: Short power cable that only comes in US style 2 pin socket.
Having purchased this while it was on one of the many half price sales it seems to find itself in regularly I wasn't expecting alot, but I was greatly surprised to find it was very indifferent results wise to my old Braun pro care 2000. That one may of been quite old but you'd expect a world of difference between the two that just wasn't there...
This toothbrush is simple, it has a basic timer that vibrates every thirty seconds to let you know when you've brushed enough for that quadrant of your mouth (this is according to dental hygiene recommendations) with a final vibrate to let you know you've reached the maximum recommended time to clean your teeth. The toothbrush itself is a simple one button on and off which is easy to reach with the standard way of holding and is made of a non slip plastic with a small non slip rubber strip either side to avoid any dropping incidents. The stand the item comes with is simple and fine just plop the toothbrush on and it will charge, the only issue is that the stand has a short power cable and comes only in shaver style plug, so the US style double pin for those who would know what I'd mean. The extra brushes for this are not two expensive and are once again like the brush itself regularly on offers so worth waiting till then to grab a bundle.
Now on the the performance, I've found this to be a very good and solid clean, while not liking this style smaller brush originally I actually prefer it now due to the more concentrated clean, and if you can get hold of the floss brushes that also helps give a clean fresher feeling. I did find the lack of any spare brushes in the set was an annoyance but not a huge problem.
So to recap:
A very good brush and extremely good value when got in the regular deals, would need to be purchased to a EU power adaptor for those of you without shaving chargers or one to high up off the side due to short cabling. But a 5/5 recommendation for me as I truly don't think you'll get a better brush in this price range.
Summary: A* for this price range, outclasses the older generations of better price ranges.
