Advantages: A much better clean than an ordinary brush and a rechargeable battery .
Disadvantages: None I dont think.
I may be ancient but there is one thing I have that some much younger men do not and that is my own teeth. I have looked after my teeth almost religiously and continue to do so.
I recently purchased a new toothbrush and for the first time I have gone electric. My choice of electric toothbrush after careful consideration was the Braun ORAL-B PC 8000 DLX D 18.581 X, god only knows why they have to give it such a long title but there you go, it is also known as simply the Braun Oral-B Professional Care 8000 which is a bit easier on the tongue!
This brush comes with four interchangeable heads and has both oscillating and pulsating cleaning technology, you can alter the speed settings to suit and the battery is rechargeable so no need to be continuously forking out for new batteries.
I have found that in the few weeks of using it my teeth definitely feel cleaner than ever before and seem to stay that way longer too, I guess this is down to them getting squeaky clean to start with leaving no building point for future plaque.
The vibration is fairly gentle on low speeds and certainly not uncomfortable which I had feared it may be. Braun is of course a huge company and their oral B range is excellent and this brush is no exception.
I paid only £29.99 for this in the sales shortly before Christmas and it was thirty pounds very well spent in my opinion. I had often seen these as just a marketing plot but they do actually clean way better than normal brushing.

Summary: Cleaner, shinier, whiter, squeeky clean peraly whites!

- 11/01/09 Very good review here - however for the benefit of future buyers it would be good to know if the brushes are soft or hard, how much replacements are and how long the brush takes to charge?
If you update your review please message me. I have a new Sonic brush - very impressive and bought under the recommendation from a Dooyoo member. However the brush heads aren't hard enough in my opinion.
