Advantages: Give a great clean
Disadvantages: Pricey
What's in the pack?
Two replacement heads for a Braun Oral B toothbrush and four coloured rings, allowing you to distinguish your brush from those of others in your household (just don't change your colour too often, or it gets confusing!)
Technology
These replacement heads simply click onto the brush. They have a two-tone colour scheme of blue and green bristles. The blue bristles around the edge are tougher, coping with the stickiest substances, while the central bristles are softer, protecting your teeth from over-zealous brushing. There are also some longer bristles that are designed to get in between your teeth.
You know when you need to replace your brush because the blue bristles act as an indicator, turning white when the head is knackered.
Advantages
I get a much better clean from my electric toothbrush than I ever managed with a manual one, and part of the reason is these heads. Though they're small, they are tough and effective. They spin round really fast, meaning that you can get right into all the nooks and crannies of your teeth to give a really thorough clean.
They're also the only product I've found that fits. No-one seems to make a generic version of toothbrush head to go on Braun/Oral B products!
Disadvantages
The main disadvantage for me is the price - at about £8 for two, they are quite a bit more expensive than a manual toothbrush from the supermarket. For those who don't live in towns or cities, availability is also an issue. This isn't a product that many local shops sell, so you need to remember to stock up on them in Boots!
You have to be really careful to clean these heads thoroughly each time you brush. Grime has a tendency to build up around the coloured ring and the inside the head itself, and it gets totally disgusting in a matter of hours if you don't lwatch out! Despite possessing a ventilation hole, the heads also don't dry out very well, tending to trap increasingly dirty water inside the brush unless you remember to separate them out and put them somewhere warm to dry out.
Summary
Good heads- but pricey!
Summary: Give your teeth a treat.
