Advantages: available in multiples of 2, 4 and 8, interchangabel with most oral b models
Disadvantages: quite costly compared to manual toothbrushes
Since my recent discovery of the joy an electric toothbrush can bring, I have been discovering a whole new world of tooth cleanliness and mouth hygiene (exciting I know!)
Because I suffer from occasional bouts of sensitivity, I have been looking at replacement brush heads so I can alternate my brushing routine depending on how I feel that day. Braun offer a wide range of replacement heads for their electric toothbrush range and these replacements are suitable for all styles except the Pulsonic and Sonic models. Flossing, polishing, or just plain brushing you can bet there's a head that does it.
This particular brush head brushes and thats about it but I don't always want my teeth polishing and buffed to within an inch of their lives so this is a good thing. There are also coloured rings provided, I suppose thats so you know whose toothbrush is which but to be honest I didn't really mind these either way as my partner's brush is a different model to mine.
The heads click onto the brushes with ease and click back off to change them again and cleaning...well you don't need to do anymore than rinsing like you would a manual toothbrush.
The pack of two retails at around £7 and you can buy them in Boots where they are usually on offer (currently 1/3 off for the festive period) and similar high street shops like superdrug. Some supermarkets do stock them but the range can be quite limited. Currently Boots sell the 4 and 8 packs of replacement heads - ideal for larger families and these are on offer with a third off. 4 packs retail at around the £10-£12 mark and the 8 packs are currently around £20.
I love that fact that I can pick and choose the brush I have each time I come to replacing my head even if it does cost more than a conventional manual toothbrush, you can't beat the clean feeling and smoothness of your teeth after using an electric toothbrush so I feel that it's definitely worth it.
Summary: Great quality replacement brush which can be used on nearly all oral b models
