Advantages: Maintains great oral hygiene, Decent packaging

Disadvantages: Bit pricey

First things first, I apologize if this opinion may be on the short side but you know there's only so much you can write about toothbrush heads!

I've owned an electric toothbrush for a couple of years now and I have to say it's one of the bets things I've ever purchased. Since I've been using one I've never had to have any treatment at the dentist. For a small outlay it?s saved me the dreaded fear of sitting in that dentists waiting room with the ringing of the drill in my ears and shivering up my spine.

Braun are at the forefront of electric toothbrushes and offer a number of different options. All essentially clean your teeth but some have fancy extra features that probably don't do a lot for the extra money. The only problem with these electric toothbrushes is that the replacement heads aren't exactly cheap in comparison to your regular toothbrush that costs under £2. For example this particular twin pack retails at £7.99, that's £3.50 a head. For that money you'll get two heads as well as some coloured rings to put on the end if your toothbrush is shared amongst other people in the household. Occasionally you may get some tooth floss thrown in as a freebie.

With this item it's not really a case of shopping around, as most shops seem to be the same price. Normally I buy mine from Boots as they occasionally have a '3 for 2' deal on them. This spreads the cost over the long run but not by much. But I also look on it that these brushes are well made and actually provide better dental treatment. If £3.50 means that I have better teeth and gums as well as saving me on dental treatment then it's a small price to pay. Besides the brushes last for a couple of months normally before they have to be replaced.

Each head has an indicator, as the bristles will lose colour with use, when they get down to a certain mark or become frayed then its time to replace them. Packaging wise they
are well presented although they're difficult to open without aid of scissors. It's not a big problem but perhaps one that could be made easier.

As far as I'm aware these heads fit all Braun electric toothbrushes and I haven't seen any third party replicas on sale. But your pearly whites deserve the expense and using things like this should mean you won?t keep your teeth in a glass overnight in years to come!

You're right, Boots 3 for 2 is the best deal. My problem is trying to get hold of the inter-dental brush heads. Two came with our 3D Excel but I have seen nowhere where they sell replacements. Any ideas?
