Advantages: Kids love them

Disadvantages: heads are expensive

I brouight these toothbrushes for my children from Amazon because they did seem to be having a little bit of trouble getting a really good brush with their manual toothbrushes, or at least brushing for the 2 minutes I wanted them to.

These brushes come in various designs that should make the kids happy. My daughter has Cinderella and my son has a Power Ranger although he has grown out of them now and I may get him the Wall E one instead.

They are battery operated but the batteries do last a good time so it is not as bad as you might think. It would be nice if they were rechargeable like adults electric toothbrushes though.

The brush at the end is replaceable so you can just buy new ends and not replace the whole brush. The heads are more expensive to buy than the initial brush though and I have only seen them on various online websites, not in my local sainsburys.

I paid around the £5 mark for both of mine but Amazon have them in a set for just £3.99 now which is really good value I think.

The brush on the end is made up of two parts - the round bristle that rotates and the set piece below which doesn't move. The bristles are also cupped so they curl round each tooth making sure there is even better coverage over each tooth as your child brushes.

I know these are gimmicky but if it gets the kids brushing that's all that really matters.

Oh I think I saw these in a large Boots stores - the replacement heads are expensive but if you look for their massive Oral B displays you'll sure to find a whole stack of replacement brushes for virtually all models under the Braun / Oral B brand tags.
