BRAUN ORAL-B TRIUMPH PROFESSIONAL CARE 9900 TOOTHBRUSH My last toothbrush was an Oral-B 3D toothbrush that was 5 years old and in need of replacing. So I decided to be kind to my teeth and get the best that technology could offer. CONTENDERS I started looking for a new one before Christmas. There were two contenders, both top of the range offerings from the two market leaders: Braun's Oral-B Triumph Professional Care 9900 with SmartGuide (rrp £140) and the Philips Sonicare Flexcare 9600 HX6982 with UV Sanitiser (rrp £180). I thought about buying the Sonicare Flexcare but I was put off by their brush heads, which are larger size and cost 50% ... Read the complete review

ORAL B PROFESSIONAL CARE 9900 TRIUMPH DELUXE We (me and my boyfriend) used to have a normal Braun Oral-B electric toothbrush. It lasted us 9+ years. Just before Christmas it started 'playing up'. It started with the battery charging light not lighting up when it was placed on charge. Then it would only work if I banged it against the side of the sink!! It was definitely time for a new one, but, it didn't enter my head to get one! Then surprise surprise, I had one for Christmas! Not the best Christmas present, in fact, some might take it as an insult, but not me, I was quite chuffed - nothing like a new gadget for Christmas! But, this electric toothbrush ... I couldn't recommend this toothbrush too highly. It is the best toothbrush I've ever owed, and will never clean my teeth with any other toothbrush ever again!! The unique wireless timer display puts the fun back in cleaning your teeth. The toothbrush can be used without the display, but you miss out on alerts, such as when you're brushing too hard and when it's time to change the head on the toothbrush. and makes sure you're doing a proper job by cleaning each quarter of your mouth equally thoroughly. It has a wide range of options, but I find it works fine on default settings. On default settings it allows 30 secs for each of the four quarters of ... Read the complete review

Over £100 is a lot to pay for a toothbrush, but think about it, a single visit to the dreaded dentist will cost you about this, just for a clean and polish. This has got to be the grandaddy of all brushes to warrant its price, let me tell you if it is. First of all, the cost. If you realise that you could buy one head for each member of the family, say four. If you all use the same handle, this brings the cost down to £25 each. Not bad. Two of us use this one, so it equated to just over £50 each. In the package you get the brush handle, with nice battery indicator display, with on/oo and mode buttons. You get a standard head and a polishing head. The base for ... Read the complete review

I bought this toothbrush for my partner last christmas. It was the top of the range toothbrush, and had some great reviews, in the shops it was £130, but i managed to get it brand new from ebay for £40. The toothbrush itself is excellent, it holds a charge for about a week, sometimes two. It has a battery level on the little lcd screen so you know how much life is left. The toothbrush, also vibrates every 30 seconds, to tell you when to move on from brushing one area of your mouth, and after 2 minutes, it vibrates again to let you know that you can stop brushing. This is a great facility as it means you know when to stop brushing, and means your ... Read the complete review
