Advantages: easy to use,effective

Disadvantages: brushes are expensive

Our children do not always clean their teeth properly, often it's a very quick brush before bed and then in the morning. This is obviously not enough to keep their teeth clean.

We decided to buy them an electric toothbrush to make brushing teeth a bit more fun. Braun have an extensive range of brushes priced from between £20 and £90. We settled on the Oral B Solo at £27. This is rechargeable unit, about once every two weeks is enough. There is also a handy timer which is set at 2 minutes, long enough for a good brush. The oscillating brush does a far better job at getting rid of plaque and tartar. These have wear indicators show when the they need replacing, although these are fairly expensive.

A great product that encourages good dental care through making it fun to brush.

it is with these electric ones as their brush heads oscillate very quickly and therefore clean a lot faster than by hand

You say that 2 minutes is long enough for a good clean of the teeth, my dentist tells me that I should brush for 5 minutes to get a really good clean.
