Advantages: Superb Job, Good Power, Nice Design, Easy To Use, Quality, Not Expensive
Disadvantages: Replacement Heads Are Expensive, Cleaning Charging Holder
After I broke my last toothbrush due to over-charging it, I bought this Oral B Vitality Precision Clean version and it has worked brilliantly since. You can buy any replaceable heads that fit the toothbrush, but the simple single round ones can be bought in a pack of 4 for an RRP of £14.99, but you can get them for £8.49 on amazon.co.uk. The toothbrush itself has an RRP of £29.99, but it can be bought for just £13.95 over amazon.co.uk, which is brilliant for such an efficient electric toothbrush.
The toothbrush comes in a blue box with the toothbrush, charging cable and instructions inside. The instructions are actually quite useful as they tell you how to properly use and clean the brush and more information too. The charging cable plugs into a shaver port in the bathroom, which is useful as you probably won't have normal sockets in there.
The toothbrush takes 16 hours to fully charge, which will give around 20 minutes of good operation time. You can leave it to rest on the charger, which it sits on as there is a bump on the charger and a hole on the bottom of the toothbrush. You shouldn't leave it plugged in, even though over-charging is impossible, because this will wear down the battery and eventually make the toothbrush useless.
The toothbrush itself is a two tone blue colour. The Oral B logo is below the buttons and so are the Braun and Vitality logos. There are two buttons - one is bigger than the other, which is for switching the brush on. It automatically stutters after 2 minutes, which is the recommended brushing time by dentists. The toothbrush will stay on, but you now know that you've brushed for long enough. The charging cable is white and not too long so wires won't be going across the bathroom - it can sit by the sink and shaver socket.
You should wet the toothbrush before applying some toothpaste. Then, place it in your mouth on your teeth and switch it on. You should brush the inside of your teeth first followed by the top and outside. You should also run over your gums after, just around your teeth. I like to gurgle the toothpaste after and maybe keep it there whilst biting my jaw for a bit if I'm doing other things whilst getting ready to go out. This really gets the toothpaste into your teeth and helps leave you with great clean teeth. You should then rinse it all out and give the brush a wash under water. You should take the head off too and rinse it under there to prevent build up. The bottom of the charger that the brush sits on always gets quite mucky, so you need to clean this regularly.
Overall, it's an excellent toothbrush and isn't expensive at all. It does a superb job and you can buy a variety of toothbrush heads for it. They have colour on them, which fades away to signify when the toothbrush needs changing. If the bristles become damaged, it should be changed too. The heads are quite expensive but you shouldn't need to change them more than once every 2-3 months or so if you use the brush appropriately. I'd highly recommend this toothbrush as it does a superb job with good power and doesn't cost much!
