Advantages: much better than manual brush, reasonable price and works well
Disadvantages: replacing brush heads can be expensive
Oral b is a well-known and well respected brand when it comes to toothbrushes and since starting out in 1950 they have become the number one brand for toothbrushes worldwide. The oral b vitality precision clean toothbrush is an electronic and rechargeable toothbrush produced by oral b. The price for this toothbrush is around the £20 mark. It is the toothbrush I have had for quite a while since switching from manual toothbrush a few years ago it has been my toothbrush of choice.
The brush itself
The toothbrush is dark blue with light blue and white in colour and the brush heads are replaceable. They tend to last for a few months at least . After that you can buy replacement heads but they can be a bit expensive unless you shop around. There is also a charger which comes with the toothbrush which allows it to be recharged. It is quite easy to recharge and once recharged fully it has a battery life reportedly of up to five days. Before using you have to charge it for 16 hours There is a single button which is used to turn the brush on and off. One slight negative about the brush is that when it runs out of juice/battery there is no indication and it just stops working. It slows down in terms of the oscillations though which give some indication.
The main facts for the toothbrush include that it can produce up to 7600 oscillations or rotations a minute. The brush head allows for precision cleaning by targeting some of the harder areas to reach while cleaning teeth. It is also proven to remove two times as much plaque as an ordinary manual toothbrush. The brush also features an ergonomic, non-slip rubber grip handle so it does not easily slip or fall while using and is easy to handle and use.
One slight negative about the brush is that when it runs out of juice/battery there is no indication and it just stops working. Another point is about the replacement brush heads which although tending to last a few months do add to the cost of the toothbrush and maintenance overall.
This is a very good toothbrush which comes at a reasonable price also. It has all that you would need from an electronic toothbrush and performs much better than a manual toothbrush. There are a few negatives but overall this is a very good toothbrush from oral b and I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.
