Advantages: Cleans well with excellent results even though it doesn't feel like it at the time!

Disadvantages: The on/off switch a bit inappropiately located

I have gone through two or three electric toothbrushes over the last few years and have had problems getting on with some of them because I didn't like the feel of them in my mouth whilst they were on but kept persisting because I have always been told that they get your teeth cleaner than conventional, manual brushes. And if thats meant less visits to the Dentist then that's always been worth a little uncomfort. (I'm not afraid of Dentists ~ I just don't bloomin' like 'em!)

Someone I know, who has similar issues, contacted me through Twitter about a month ago and suggested I try one of these models because they felt "like no other electric toothbrush you have ever used before!" Yeah, right. That's exactly what I thought. Whatever, right?

Still, my old electric tothbrush was getting a bit tired and worn out and showing signs of wear and tear and the heads were a little more expensive now than they were when I first bought my previous model so I figured I might give this paticular brand a go especially as, at under £20, it was something of a bargain compared to some of the models I have used before.

Firstly, this Braun model is really quiet and you can hardly feel it working inside your mouth. This is because it uses some kind of Sonic Wave technology that reputedly Jewellers use to clean Rings and things with great results. Certainly after about a week, my teeth DID look a lot cleaner but then who was I to really judge, I'm no expert. Still, even my wife commented on the fact that my teeth looked a lot whiter and brighter ~ and that was without using a whitening toothpaste! To be fair though, this toothbrush was so gentle that several times I had to remove it from my mouth to see whether it was actually working right!

Secondly, I thought I would buy some more heads now as, just as with razor blades, I have real problems normally remembering to get any before I run out. These again have proved very reasonable compared to other brands though the price can flucuate considerably depending on where you get them! I got mine from my local Savers Chemist for example and they were about £12 for 4 though I have also seen them for as much as £16 at Boots!

The only disadvantage I have found is that the way I grip my toothbrush, my hand sometimes connects with the on/off switch during brushing causing temporal disruption. This hasn't happened a lot though a look on Amazon for a price comparison on replacement heads the other day showed me that I wasn't the only one who had picked up on this flaw. Still, this toothbrush is very, very competitively priced compared to ther brands and models and definitely one of the better electric toothbrushes I have used amongst the small selection I have owned.

I love a bargain and, for me, that is certainly what I have got with this model!

Summary: One of the better and most competitively priced electric toothbrushes around!
