Advantages: Well priced toothbrush
Disadvantages: can be a bit rough at first
My gums were a tad sore so I decided that this was either old age or inadequate cleaning. i prefer to blame the latter.
My previous experiences with electric toothbrushes hadn't been good, and I was unwilling to fork out vast quantities of money for something which I would use as a "gimic" for a few weeks and then tire of.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
This was only £1.99 from savers, but reading the bits of information on the website I think the RRP is under £5.
Considering the price of electric toothbrushes, this is a bargain and one which I had to try out.
The brush promises to revitalise your smile, but I think really that the best we can hope for is that it keeps my teeth squeaky clean!. It apparantly stimulates the gums and within 14 days, your teeth will be white and shiny
The brush itself is a little thicker than normal toothbrushes, obviously as the batteries have to fit into the handle, but other than that looks exactly like normal toothbrushes.
It's the brush part which is different. There are two parts to this; the top brush which is round and the bottom brushes which go up and down (these are the whitening bristles and polishing strip). If you turn it on and just look at the bristles go, you really get the impression that your gnashers will indeed get a brilliant clean!
First of all, insert the 2 x AA Batteries; amazingly these were actually included at the price I paid! The batteries aren't rechargeable, so any batteries can be used.
Switch on using the little on/off switch and off you go, cleaning as taught by dentists!
It really is that simple, but really why should electric toothbrushes be difficult?

WHAT I THINK OF IT...
When I first started using the toothbrush, my initail reaction, as ever when I use an electric toothbrush is "ouch". they always seem too powerful, going at their level of brushing (really quite strenuous), not mine.
However, from first using it, my teeth have felt quite squeaky clean. I can really feel the two sets of bristles, and not only do my teeth feel as though they are getting a clean, but my gums have had a good old scrub, and have stopped being sore (I knew it wasn't old age).
I can't vouch for the fact that the toothbrush has whitened my teeth because I like to think they weren't especially discoloured before, but they do look clean. More than anything though, my gums feel massaged although at first I felt as though they were being rubbed too hard.
This is one good and very cheap electric toothbrush, which I have used with my normal toothpaste and not the Crest revitalise toothpaste as recommended on the instructions.
I like it so much and have used it so regularly that I will soon be buying another one. i figure that at the price it's going to be cheaper to buy a whole new brush complete with the included batteries rather than buying a new head (which can be purchased from chemists) and batteries.
Thanks for reading.
