Oral-B 4 Pack Floss Action Refills Brush Head
Advantages: Help clean teeth and keep them healthy, exceelnt shape, great value
Disadvantages: None that I have found
In my last review you may have read that I have been keeping better care of my teeth over the last few months, in fact it was one of my old New Year's resolutions that I finally did something about. I have learned how to get the most out of brushing and so to prevent infection or any build up of bacteria. I always had problem teeth as a teenager, braces and various operations on my mouth so it was wrong of me to let my standards slip but the dentist all suddenly came to much until recently. With my new found brushing techniques also came some new brush heads for my Oral B electric toothbrush (I think mine was called the Oral B Triumph brush) The actual brush heads that were recommended to me were the Floss Action Refills and here are my thoughts.
The brush heads in my opinion are not as expensive as they used to be. Mine cost £9.95 for a pack of 4 which is excellent value when I think what I used to pay for them. I got my latest pack in the Superdrug store but you can get these from your dentist (you may have to pay more though) or high street stores such as Boots. Even the internet will sell them nowadays.
The brush heads come in well packaged and with a clear picture of what the brush head looks like on the front. The Oral B logo is very clear, the packaging is mainly blue and green in colour and quite easy to spot. There are a number of different types of brush head but the fact that this is the flossing action ones is clearing marked on the front of the packaging.
On the reverse of the packaging is all you need to know on these brush heads. We are told that they fit any sort of Oral B rotating brush, this is handy to know as it was my dentist that told me about these and I wasn't sure if my current brush would work with them but it is a really easy fit. When you go to remove one brush head form the packet you will see that the main body of it is white and the head is made from green and blue bristles in the centre with yellow and white ones on the outer circle.
To fit this toothbrush onto your brush is really easy, mine has a metal looking pin that allows a new head to slide down and click into place, I also have a plastic ring that sits between the brush and the head. You do hear a locking noise so you know that you are ready to get brushing.
I felt no pain when starting to use this brush head and it was an efficient and effective way of getting my teeth clean. We are told by Oral B that these brush heads deliver a 'superior clean vs. a precision clean' and I have to say that this statement is very accurate. My mouth and teeth felt great and the reason that I was recommended the flossing brushes over any other was that I have a small gap at the back of both sides of my lower mouth and this is a potential for bacteria to grow, I do floss regularly but need to be extra careful and the bristles on this brush head really to get to work, they are shaped at slightly different levels so your entire tooth is being put through an intensive clean. All you need to do is hold the brush over the tooth, there's no need for any pressure to be applied and away you go!!
The brushes heads are long lasting so you get even more value for your money for them. You do need to be careful that they are not to warn down as this can affect the quality of the clean but they are great for regular brushing. The fact that these brushes aid flossing as well for me helps with the cost of dental floss as the brush head is doing a lot of this work for you.
In summary, I have been very impressed with this product and can see why it was recommended. It is good value but really high in quality.
5 out of 5 from me
Thank you for reading.
