If you can afford it, go for it

To start with the review, I should just point out that I got my toothbrush free of charge as a promotional item (as I am a dental student), so I am not to sure what pricing is, although I was told when I was given it it was RRP around £150-£180.

So, with that in mind, here is my review of the triumph toothpaste:
Firstly, this toothbrush comes in 3 main parts, a charging station, a toothbrush, and a "smart guide". I will talk about each of these in turn:

1: The toothbrush. This is similar to a bog standard electric toothbrush, but it feels a bit heftier. It feels very well made, waterproof, and drop proof. It has various functions (which if I am totally honest with you, I have only ever used the daily clean function), and various interchangable heads can be used, from a bog standard brush, to a deep clean, a flossing style head, tongue cleaner, and a polishing head.

The toothbrush I find has a battery life of around 1 week or so between charges (you shouldn't charge it after every use as this knackers the battery), and it honestly does its job very well. It even does a strange pause and vibrate when you need to move across to the next quadrant.

2: The charging station. This is unlike other charging stations i have seen in 2 main ways. Firstly, it doesnt plug in directly to the toothbrush. Instead there is some sort of magnetic coil that the toothbrush sits in. This is i assume to mean that the toothbrush itself doesnt need a hole in it to accomdate a plug, and thus can be made to be totally waterproof, and won't get clogged with things like toothpaste etc.

The other difference is that the base has slots where you can place interchangable heads without losing them. This is handy as sometimes you might have 1 or two heads on the go (i always have the tongue cleaner on hand.

3: The Smart guide. This is a little computer style device that connects wirelessly to the toothbrush. It has a little case, and the case can be stuck to your bathroom wall via a sticky pad on the back. Most of the time this guide simply shows the time. But during brushing, it shows 4 things. Firstly it shows a timer showing how long you have been brushing. Secondly it shows what mode you are cleaning in. 3rdly it shows which quater of the mouth you should be cleaning. And finally if you apply to much pressure during cleaning, a little flashing warning sign comes up.

The toothbrush also comes with a carry case for travelling but i have never used this myself, so I wont really go into it for this review. Suffice to say its just a simple box with room for the brush and the head.

      So in summary.

This is proabably the best toothbrush I have ever used. It leaves my mouth feeling remarkable clean, and is very easy to use. Having a rechargable battery is a god send, and the smart guide really does make you brush as you should. However it is slightly expensive for my taste, but then again, I got mine for free so for me personallly this wasn't and issue. I am not totally convinced you couldn't do as good a job with any other electric toothbrush used properly, but that counter really makes you stay for the whole 2 minutes, rather than just brushing for what you guess is 2 minutes and moving on.

      So in summary:
An excellent toothbrush, but a less than excellent price

A good buy for the price i paid.

I haven't had an electric toothbrush before, as I thought it was a ridiculous amount of money to spend on something like this. I did however, come across this toothbrush on sale in Argos, and managed to bag myself one for £59.99.

I like the idea that it comes complete with 3 different types of head, so that you can try out which best suits you, or which one you require the most use of, and the fact that it has a timer to tell you how long you should be brushing your teeth for is a great idea. I didn't realise two minutes was such a long time!

I do find that as the head is quite bulky, it is quite difficult to get to your back teeth without a little pressure on your jaw, however it is worth it for clean healthy teeth.

The battery life is pretty superb; I took it on holiday and forgot to take the charger. i though i would have to get myself a disposable one but it lasted the whole week brushing for 2 minutes twice a day.

The replacement heads can be a little expensive so I tend to get a bulk lot when they are on special in the supermarkets, by one get one free is a great deal.

A good product for £59.99, but it all depends on how important your toothbrush is to be spending over £100 on one.
