My first foray into Sonic toothbrushes started when I first bought a Philips Sonicare back in 2001 and apart from a travel brush that uses replaceable AA batteries, thus lending me an instant "Sonic" versus "conventionally cordless & oscillating" toothbrush process, I've seen quite a difference between the uses of the two products.
