Advantages: Cleaner teeth, less effort

Disadvantages: More expensive, can be abrasive on guns

I have had my electric toothbrush for over a year and it has served me well. My teeth are noticeably cleaner and on the odd occassion where I use my old normal toothbrush I can feel how much worse it is. Electric toothbrushes simply brush more. My mother has also tried one but has more sensitive gums and finds it tickles her too much so this could be a big disadvantage.

The other advantage is that you don't have to physically brush your teeth because you use it by merely runing it along your teeth which is great when you can't be bothered to brush your teeth because it is so easy.

Disadvantage is they are relatively more expensive (about 15 pounds) and new heads are also relatively more expensive (a few pounds for a pack of 2 I think)

Summary:
