The brush heads feel OK in your mouth though - I opted for the more expensive model with the slimline brush heads - some of the older models have much fatter brush heads. One really useful feature of the Sonicare toothbrush is that it has a timer. ... first bought a Sonicare when they were introduced for the first time on QVC. I paid over £100 for it, a lot of money. It is quite a unique brushing experience and takes some getting used to. When you first use it it is programmed to start you off gently gradually building up to full strength. It works by the sonic waves loosening the plaque which forms on the teeth. It must work as since using one I have never had to have a scale & polish at the dentist. Prior to this I had one every 6 months. The first one lasted about 4 years so when it gave up the ghost I bought another. The price had come down by then and I paid about £80. Unfortunately it stopped working after ...
