Advantages: Results in clean feel

Disadvantages: Throw-away, very wasteful

Whilst perusing all the toothbrush options as I need one with a really small head or, at least, the small head is my strong preference, the Wisdom Spinbrush was the only option other than a children's toothbrush. With a small oscillating head for an improved cleaning and plaque removal, this seemed the answer to my quest. The product description actually said "The Wisdom Spinbrush II is a new improved design that has oscillating bristles for effective cleaning, polishing and plaque removal"; sounds good to me.
Easy to use with "thumb" operated on/off switch I found it best to first have the spin head in your mouth before switching on to avoid distributing the toothpaste all over the sink. When in use, it feels like it's doing the business, the action of the head is vigorous without being violently so and I must say the result feels great giving a nice smooth clean feel to the teeth. If you think this is going to be the be all and end all of tooth cleaning forget it, I still need to floss to get to those unreachable surfaces between my teeth but that's only what you would expect. With the little head oscillating umpteen times a minute it must do a better job than manual brush and I believe it does, results certainly gives my teeth a wonderfully smooth and clean feel.
Two AA batteries drive this little brush and can be replaced as needed, the big drawback is the head is fixed and not replaceable. Dentists recommended that you change your toothbrush every three months or so. This makes this Spinbrush a not so attractive proposition if not, in fact, a very wasteful one as you will be throwing the entire thing in the bin in three to six months time. The batteries may outlast the toothbrush, I don't know I haven't reached that stage yet; been using this one for about five weeks now and still going strong. I've seen this Spinbrush at prices ranging from £2.99 to more than £6 so shop around as a throw-away you don't want to splash out too much cash. I like the idea of an electric brush and the results it gives but next time I'll be looking for one that has replaceable heads and is rechargeable.

Summary: Oscillating battery driven brush gives extra cleaning power

Handy review here although it would be more useful to space out the paragraphs to make it easier on the eye for other members reading this review.

Hope it lasts you - my battery Braun toothbrush (same small heads) has lasted for quite a while now and ideal for travelling with.
